Gloria E. Kridler, 73, of Landenberg, died Feb. 4 at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford. She was the wife of Robert H. Kridler, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.Born in Toughkenamon, she was the daughter of the late Marco and Colomba Basciani Bove. She was a 1953 graduate of Kennett High School.
Gloria was an office manager/secretary for Paramount Nurseries in West Grove for 10 years, retiring in 1996. Prior to working at Paramount, she worked for 14 years at Hercules Research Center in Wilmington.
She was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church in Avondale.
Gloria enjoyed quilting, crafts, antiquing, fishing, traveling, family get-togethers, and playing canasta with her friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Daniel Kridler and his wife Diane of Lancaster; a daughter, Christine Kridler and her husband George Jenkins of Rockledge, Fla; a brother, Dante Bove of Landenberg; two sisters, Mary Russell of Landenberg, and Anne Fieni of Severna Park, Md.; and one grandson, Zachary Kridler.
She was predeceased by a brother, Albert Bove.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Feb. 7, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Rt. 41), Avondale, Pa. Her Memorial Mass will follow at noon at the church. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA. Contributions may be made in Gloria’s memory to the Building Fund for St. Gabriel’s, P. O. Box 709, Avondale, PA 19311.
